About My Practice

My clinic is at 40 Nursery Lane, Wilmslow, SK9 5JQ — approximately eight miles from Stockport town centre. The drive usually takes around fifteen to twenty minutes, depending on which part of Stockport you are travelling from and the traffic conditions.

The most direct route is to head south on the A34 through Cheadle and Handforth into Wilmslow. If you are coming from the eastern side of Stockport — Marple, Romiley or Bredbury, for example — you might find it just as easy to come via Bramhall and Woodford, which is a pleasant drive through quieter roads. From Hazel Grove or Poynton, you can take the A555 and approach Wilmslow from the south-east.

Whatever route you take, you will find plenty of free parking on Nursery Lane and the neighbouring streets. There are no meters, no time restrictions and no stress about finding a space. My practice is set in a quiet, residential area — a world away from the hustle of a busy town centre. It is a calm, comfortable and entirely private environment where you can relax and focus on yourself.

I also offer online sessions via Zoom for those times when travelling is not convenient. These are every bit as effective as face-to-face appointments, and several of my Stockport clients use them regularly.

We work with your subconscious mind to change your relationship with food at its deepest level — addressing emotional eating, comfort eating, binge patterns and the self-sabotage that derails so many weight loss attempts.

Stop Smoking — My stop smoking programme is one of the most popular services I offer. It works because we do not simply remove the cigarette — we address every subconscious trigger, association and habit that keeps you smoking. Most clients become non-smokers in a single extended session.

Phobias and Fears — I have an enormous amount of experience with phobias and a deep personal understanding of them, having overcome my own phobia using the same techniques I use with clients. Whether your fear is of flying, heights, spiders, needles, dogs, enclosed spaces or anything else, phobias typically respond very quickly to treatment — often within one to three sessions.

Stress and Burnout — The demands of modern working life can push people to breaking point. I help you develop healthier subconscious responses to pressure and teach you practical self-help techniques that you can use every single day to manage stress before it manages you.

Confidence and Performance — Whether you need more confidence in social situations, at work, in interviews or in your personal relationships, hypnotherapy and NLP can help you build a solid foundation of genuine self-belief. I also work with people who need to perform under pressure — athletes, musicians, presenters and professionals facing high-stakes situations.

Insomnia and Sleep Problems — If your mind will not switch off at bedtime, or you wake at three in the morning with anxious thoughts racing, hypnotherapy can retrain your subconscious to let go and allow natural, deep sleep. I also provide self-hypnosis recordings specifically designed to support healthy sleep patterns.

Getting to My Clinic from Stockport

My clinic at 40 Nursery Lane, Wilmslow is approximately eight miles from Stockport town centre. The most popular route among my Stockport clients is to head south on the A34, which takes you straight through Cheadle and Handforth into Wilmslow. The journey typically takes fifteen to twenty minutes.

If you are travelling from the Bramhall side of the borough, you are even closer — perhaps only ten to fifteen minutes away. From Marple or Romiley, allow around twenty-five to thirty minutes via the A6 and A34, or through Bramhall and Woodford.

Parking is free and plentiful on Nursery Lane. My appointments are always spaced to protect your privacy, and you will find the clinic a relaxed, welcoming space from the moment you arrive.

My approach has been refined over more than thirty years of full-time practice, and it is built on the principle that lasting change happens at the subconscious level. I combine three proven therapeutic techniques to give every client the best possible chance of success:
